THIS SESSION WAS NOT RECORDED

Parents of non-binary and transgender children and teens frequently find that besides learning to understand and support their child's gender congruence, they are faced with questions about their children's mental health needs. Such conditions may include anxiety and depression (made all the worse by Covid-era isolation), as well as OCD, self-harm, substance use, suicidal ideation, disordered eating, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. In this workshop, we will discuss common co-occurring conditions, answer questions about how to begin to address these issues and find knowledgeable practitioners as well as advocate for your child's mental health needs. We will also provide space for parental voices and discussion.
