Sharing anecdotes from his childhood, adolescence, and adulthood, Cyrus will speak about his experience with gender transition in the context of family life. Discussing both the challenges and the joys of navigating transition in long-term relationships, Cyrus will offer his perspective on transition's capacity to transform and heal family systems. Situating his story within the larger context of trans politics, and the increased policing of trans children and families, he will highlight the unique role that parents and care-givers play in the larger struggle for trans rights, recognition, and collective liberation.
