This presentation will cover the surgical journey of a young patient as they navigate towards the goal of aligning their bodies with their identity in the form of phalloplasty. It informs the patient and family/allies through various phases from online research, picking the right surgical team, preparing for the consultation as well as a description of the specific surgical approach that Dr. Ley performs. This is followed by a detailed description of the surgical procedure and an extensive dive into post operative care and long term expectations.
