Gender minority children are present in every corner of the world. Their lived experiences will vary depending on the social construct in which they find themselves. Black families have increasingly accepted their gender minority children, but continue to face very real social, religious, and cultural resistance to full acceptance. The purpose of this workshop is to center Black families as we probe the myriad successes and challenges that Black families may experience along the journey of launching our wonderful gender minority children into safe, productive, and happy lives.
