Imi (“I’m me!”) and other Non-Crisis Digital Support Resources for LGBTQ+ Youth

LGBTQ+ youth have disproportionately high unmet mental health needs when compared to their cisgender and heterosexual counterparts, and yet there is a dearth of non-crisis support resources designed specifically for and with them. Even when available, they may be inaccessible to teens due to negative consequences of being outed. That’s why CenterLink and the It Gets Better Project have collaborated with Hopelab to develop another tool, imi. It’s a science-backed mental health webapp offering interactive modules to learn coping skills, hear stories from members of their community, and explore resources designed to affirm LGBTQ+ identities and boost mental health. Each of these products have been co-created in collaboration with the LGBTQ+ youth community to help them cope with minority stressors on a regular basis. Join us to learn all about it.
