In what contexts should a child’s gender status be revealed? What are the trade-offs between open acknowledgment and maintaining privacy about your child’s gender identity? We face numerous situations where we are called upon to advocate for our children and must decide whether disclosing information will create more safety and inclusion or more difficulties. In this workshop we will discuss common disclosure considerations and contexts and answer questions about how to make healthy decisions for your child/family. This will be followed by  an opportunity for parents to share with each other about issues of disclosure and non-disclosure in a variety of settings.
