This workshop is for parents to gain a better understanding of diversity in gender identity vs misinformation in society that leads to pathologizing their teen Presenters will address affirmative parenting strategies and how to be more effective in communicating with their teen. Parents will also have a better understanding of their teen's transitioning process and will gain tips to strengthen communication and support of their teen. As parents and families are transitioning as well, they will learn about strategies to reduce their own isolation gain support and learn about advocacy
